Workplace Giving
You have the opportunity
to help support The Entomological Foundation through payroll
deduction. By designating your gift to The Entomological Foundation
through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and the United Way
Campaign of the National Capital Area, The Entomological Foundation
will work toward:
 |
Supporting research to solve insect-related food shortages and
diseases throughout the world by awarding graduate student research
awards focused on applied integrated pest management and research on
plant resistance to insects.
|
 |
Encouraging the identification of endangered species and research
focused on their ecosystems by awarding scholarships for students
interested in working toward protecting the environment and restoring
threatened habitats.
|
 |
Awarding graduate student research awards to students in the field of
the biology and control of termites or other insect pests of the
urban environment.
|
 |
Assisting medical and veterinary entomologists combat insects that carry
diseases by awarding grants to assist postdoctoral researchers in
discovering and providing vital information on the treatment and
prevention of insect-related aliments.
|
 |
Teaching youth the role of entomology and the benefits insects provide
in sustaining the environment and providing a safe food supply. |
