Such a simple message. But so many layers.
We teach our children in actions, words, and deeds. They watch us continuously for clues on how to act and what to do. Running red lights or texting while driving is a sure way to get your 14-year old to do the same once she gets behind the wheel. Recycling your plastic water bottles encourages your child to do the same.
And showing respect for the natural world around us will ensure that they do the same. Teach your children by what you DO, not just by what you say. Please plant pollinator-healthy gardens, read your pesticide labels carefully, and remind them that all life depends upon the insects. Teach your children.
