Jeffery P. LaFage Graduate Student Research Award
Sponsored by The Entomological Foundation Eligibility
The grant may be renewed. The applicant must be a candidate for a master's or doctoral degree at an accredited university. The grant is open to students throughout the world. Priority will be given to proposals demonstrating a creative and realistic approach to the fields of interest. The recipient is encouraged to present the research results at an Entomological Society of America (ESA) meeting and is required to acknowledge the grant award in any publications resulting from these funds. The amount of this research award is based on the amount of earnings from the investment and presented at the Entomological Society of America's annual meeting. Award Procedures

Kenneth and Barbara Starks Plant Resistance to Insects Graduate Student Research Award
Sponsored by The Entomological Foundation Eligibility
The grant is awarded to a graduate student in entomology or plant breeding/genetics for innovative research that contributes significantly to our knowledge of plant resistance to insects. This grant may be used for salaries, equipment, supplies, or travel to initiate, accelerate, augment, or expand a research project. The grant may be renewed. The applicant must be a citizen of the United States and a candidate for a master's or doctoral degree at an accredited university. The recipient is encouraged to present the research results at an ESA meeting and is required to acknowledge the grant in publications resulting from these funds. Award Procedures

Henry and Sylvia Richardson Research Grant
Sponsored by The Entomological Foundation Eligibility
Each candidate must be an Entomological Society of America (ESA) member and a postdoctoral student, working in insect control by attractants, repellents, biological controls, thermo controls, or chemical controls. Second priority will be given to those students working in insect control of medical or veterinary importance. If there is no suitable candidate in these categories, candidates working in physiology or toxicology may be considered. A grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. This award amount is based on the earnings from the investment. Award Procedures
