The Larry Larson Graduate Student Award for Leadership in Applied Entomology

Sponsored by Dow AgroSciences

This leadership award acknowledges Master's students who exhibit exceptional interest in the study and application of entomology through outstanding research and leadership skills. As applied entomology continues to adjust and change with new developments in technology, people with exceptional leadership skills and vision will be required to address the significant challenges of establishing science-based pest management solutions. Within Dow AgroSciences, the highest distinction of leadership is represented by the VISTA Leadership Award-- a corporate recognition bestowed on individuals who have developed and mastered the key attributes of leaderships and, in so doing, have positively influenced the direction of science and industry. It is hoped that through recognition of these same leadership attributes, promising entomology graduate students will be encouraged to further their education to meet the future challenges of agriculture and urban pest management. The award is presented at the Entomological Society of America's annual meeting. Find out how to apply.
