The Larry Larson
Graduate Student Award for Leadership in Applied Entomology

This award acknowledges Master’s students who exhibit exceptional interest in the study and application of entomology through outstanding research and leadership skills. This award includes $2,000 and a tour of the Dow AgroSciences headquarters.
Timothy
Waters is a doctoral student at Washington State University where he also
received his B.S. degree in Biology and his M.S. degree in Entomology. His
graduate research focused on the impact of riparian restoration on the
population dynamics of arthropods along protected salmon-bearing waterways. His
interest in plant/insect interactions are leading him to a career goal of
developing pest suppression techniques and concepts that can enhance and sustain
production agriculture in the United States. He has four refereed publications
to his name.
