Undergraduate Scholarships Sponsored by BioQuip Products and the Entomological Foundation          last updated March 3, 2004    Each year BioQuip Products, a major supplier of entomology    equipment,  sponsors a $2,000 undergraduate scholarship to assist students in achieving their goal of obtaining a degree in entomology or pursuing a career as an entomologist.     Eligibility for the BioQuip sponsored scholarship   Applicants must have been enrolled in the previous Fall as an   undergraduate student in entomology at a college or university in the      United  States, Mexico or Canada; or if the college or university the student is attending does not offer a degree in entomology, the student, through his/her studies, must be preparing for a career as an entomologist. The student must also have accumulated a minimum of 90 college credit hours at the time the award is presented in September and either completed two junior-level entomology courses or have a research project in entomology. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need.   Eligibility for the Entomological Foundation sponsored scholarship   Applicants must have been enrolled in the previous Fall as an   undergraduate student in entomology, zoology, biology, or a   related science at a college or university in the United States,   Mexico or Canada and must have accumulated a minimum of 30   college credit hours at the time the award is presented in August.   Students must have completed at least one course in Entomology   or a project in Entomology. Please click here for   details on electronic submission requirements.   Award Procedures   The completed application must contain the following: Letter of nomination (student can write letter of nomination to request consideration)   Statement from the student concerning interest in entomology, career goals, financial need, and other pertinent factors which illustrate qualifications for the scholarship (limited to two typewritten pages)   Three typewritten statements from school officials or other knowledgeable individuals attesting to entomological interests, character, aptitude, and financial need   Current official transcript of college grades (may be sent separately)    Application, attach to assembled packet. Complete section 1 only.   Deadline   Application packages must be received by the Entomological   Foundation Headquarters at 9332 Annapolis Rd. #210 Lanham, MD  20706 (for transcripts), electronic submissions are to be e-mailed to: melodie@entfdn.org  by July 1..   Renomination   Scholarship winners may reapply up to three times. Any applicant   not selected, may reapply no more than two times within the two-   year period after his/her initial submission. Application packages will be   retained for two years by the Entomological Foundation Headquarters.    Applicants must send a letter of reapplication to melodie@entfdn.org by   the award deadline. Previously submitted documentation will be used for   the evaluation process unless the applicant submits new or updated   documents. The reapplication e-mail must contain this additional   documentation. New or updated documents must follow the electronic   submission requirements.   Notification    The Entomological Foundation Headquarters will notify all applicants with   the results of their application.
