Exchange of New Ideas The Entomological Foundation serves as a broker and catalyst to facilitate partnerships between the entomological community and others. One way to accomplish this goal is providing resources to stimulate the exchange of new ideas. The Alexander Fund supports the publication of taxonomic articles in the Entomological Society of America's Annals. The request is based on lack of a supporting grant, departmental, or organizational funds to pay for page charges. The manuscript must be approved for publication by an editor of the Annals of the ESA. For more information contact the Entomological Society of America, (301) 731-4535. Lillian and Alex Feir Graduate Student Travel Award Sponsored by The Entomological Foundation This award encourages graduate students working with insects or other arthropods in the broad areas of physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology to affiliate with the Entomological Society of America's Section B and to attend the annual Entomological Society of America meeting or an international Congress of Entomology. The amount for this award varies depending upon the interest earned for this endowment. Established by Dorothy Feir as a tribute to her parents who, at considerable self-sacrifice, encouraged education and travel experiences for their daughters. Find out how to apply. The Entomological Foundation assists in funding the publication of several important entomological publications in the Thomas Say series.
