The Entomological Foundation's 2004 Awards:
The award supports graduate students in attending the Acarology Summer Program at Ohio State University or an equivalent institution offering acarine systematics training. Made annually, the value of this annual award depends on interest earned from the endowment.
Komi Fiaboe, winner of the Camin Fellowship, is a PhD student under the ARPPIS (African Regional Postgraduate Programme in Insect Science) programme of ICIPE (International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology), and attends the Kenyatta University in Kenya. Through this award, Komi will be attending the Acarology Summer Program in 2005 at Ohio State University where he will continue his research for his thesis, "Studies of potential predators of tomato red spider mite Tetranychus evansi for possible introduction as biocontrol agents in Africa".
