Stan Beck Fellowship   last updated March 3, 2004   This award assists needy students at the graduate or undergraduate   level of their education in entomology and related disciplines at a college   or university in the United States, Mexico, or Canada. The need is based   on physical limitations or economic, minority, or environmental   conditions.  The award amount is based on the earnings from the     investment. Please   click here for details on electronic submission requirements.                              Award Procedures   An application must contain the following information: Letter of nomination   Description of applicant’s academic studies including academic plans for the coming school year   Current official transcript of college grades (may be sent separately)   Brief statement (not to exceed 2 pages) of applicant’s need or challenge   A letter of recommendation from applicant’s academic advisor    Two letters of support demonstrating applicant's  need   Background information and research. Complete section 1 only.   Deadline   Nomination packages must be received by the Entomological   Foundation office at 9332 Annapolis Rd. #210 Lanham, MD 20706 (for   transcripts), electronic submissions are to be e-mailed to:   melodie@entfdn.org by July 1.     Renomination   Previous fellowship winners are encouraged to apply as each individual    may win the award up to three times. Any candidate nominated, but not   selected, may be renominated no more than two times within the two-   year period after his/her initial submission. Application/nomination   packages will be retained for two years by the Entomological Foundation   office. Nominators must send a letter of renomination to   melodie@entfdn.org by the award deadline above. Previously submitted   documentation will be used for the evaluation process unless the   nominator submits new or updated documents. The renomination e-mail   must contain this additional documentation. New or updated documents   must follow the electronic submission requirements.   Notification   The Entomological Foundation Headquarters will notify all candidates   and their nominators, where applicable, with the results of their    application.
